I’ve been on a mount rampage lately and blazing through a short list of soloable, fast mounts that padded my collection without RNG hell. Some of them took me less than 15 minutes each. If you want to beef up your mount tab while still having a life, then this is how you do it.
These mounts are all soloable, fast, and easy. There’s not really any riding RNG trains. Just real fast mounts you can score by yourself if you’re level capped and want to boost your collection stat without grinding.

Bronze Drake
How I Got It: I ran Culling of Stratholme (Heroic) through the Caverns of Time portal. After clearing all mobs within the timer, I entered a side door for a secret mini-encounter with the Infinite Corruptor, who isn’t part of the normal trash. Killing that boss triggers the mount drop. I finished the entire run – dungeon clear, timed event, boss kill – in about 5 minutes.
Zone: Caverns of Time → Culling of Stratholme (Heroic, timer run)
Why It’s Easy: The mount is 100% guaranteed once you hit the timer boss. No grind loops, one specific fight, soloable fast.

Arboreal Gulper
How I Got It: In Ardenweald (Darkreach area), I completed the mini “defend banner” event repeatedly until one of the mobs dropped an Unusually Large Mushroom. In about 15 minutes, I had the item, then went to Dreamsong Fen (32,30) and clicked the Damp Loam, which summons Humon’gozz, a rare world boss. Killing him instantly rewards the Arboreal Gulper mount with no drop chance involved. It’s 100% drop rate from the boss.
Zone: Ardenweald → Darkreach (farm mushrooms) → Dreamsong Fen (spawn site)
Why It’s Easy: Quick farming for the mushroom, guaranteed boss, and guaranteed mount. Total time: ~20 minutes.

Black Drake
How I Got It: I queued as a max-level character into Obsidian Sanctum (10-man difficulty). I cleared trash until reaching Sartharion. This boss is the gatekeeper dragon. When I defeated him, I received the Black Drake mount. Mode must be 10-man, not 25-man because only that difficulty drops the mount. The run took about 6 minutes.
Zone: Dragonblight → Obsidian Sanctum (10-man difficulty)
Why It’s Easy: Guaranteed mount drop from one boss. Soloable and one-shotting everything..

Time to Fly Mount (Scarlet Pterrordax / Harbor Gryphon)
How I Got It: With a new character anywhere level 30+, I flew to the Battle for Azeroth port (Boralus for Alliance or Dazar’alor for Horde). A default “Time to Fly” quest popped up which took me to the flight trainer, who immediately grants the Scarlet Pterrordax (Horde) or Harbor Gryphon (Alliance). Took under 3 minutes.
Zone: Boralus (Alliance) / Dazar’alor (Horde)
Why It’s Easy: No prep required, no gear, no grind. A straight quest reward you don’t even realize is a mount.

Amani Battle Bear
How to Get It
- Enter Zul’Aman (Heroic, 10‑man) at level cap. Once inside, keep going until you hit a chained-up gate with a gong and Zul’jin standing next to it.
- Zul’jin will ask you to hit the gong simultaneously with him to open the gate. The trick is to line up just to his right, face the gong, mouse over it, and click when he does. Don’t move during this, or your action cancels. You might fail the first few times, but keep clicking because the invisible progress bar fills and eventually the gate opens.
- Once inside, you’ll see a timer on screen that indicates you’ve entered the timed mount run. Ignore trash mobs: rush straight to the large cages marked on your map and kill the bosses holding the captives inside each cage.
- After freeing all five captives, a survivor named Kasha will lead you to the final cage. Speak to her, and the Amani Battle Bear mount drops.
Zone: Ghostlands → Zul’Aman (Heroic 10‑man dungeon)
Why It’s Easy: There’s no farming: one dungeon run, one timed attempt, one boss encounter, and five captive rescues.
