Legion Remix is wild in so many good ways but if you don’t know how some of the systems work, you’ll waste your own time. Here’s my guide to the levelling milestones in Legion Remix, what you unlock when, how to gear efficiently, and tips players are sharing across Reddit and forums.

Gathering Is Pure Bonus Value
One of the first surprises: you don’t learn Mining or Herbalism in Remix. There’s no profession levelling doing node pickups. Still, gathering is not useless.
After doing Eternus’s short assignment, you unlock a potion that reveals Timewarped nodes on the map. When you see one, tap it. You won’t get raw herbs or ore, but you will get Bronze and a small buff. A little extra reward for stopping mid-quest to click stuff. Don’t skip it. It’s free value, zero downside.
Don’t Hoard Your Caches
Big mistake I made early: stacking caches for later. Don’t. The item level of reward is locked when the cache is granted, not when you open it. That means if you hold onto them, they won’t scale up to match your stronger gear later. Open caches when you get them so you don’t waste potential progress.
Wait Until 80 Before Buying Order Hall Mounts
Every class in Legion Remix unlocks its Fel Order Hall mount (the class-specific mount) at level 80. If you buy it earlier with Bronze, you’ll waste your money when you’ll unlock it for free later. Save that 20,000 Bronze for mounts you won’t get if you don’t level a class. Don’t regret it.
Finish Main + Side Quests in Every Zone
Your worn gear and drops will pile up. But don’t hang on to everything. Here’s the easiest approach:
- Keep only your highest-level jewellery (neck, rings, trinkets) at level 80. (I’ll go into the why a bit further down)
- Scrap everything else using Unraveling Sands or the Infinite Obliterum Forge for Bronze and Infinite Power.
- There’s no vendor loop to upgrade old gear in Legion Remix which means dead gear is scrap.
This keeps your inventory clean and full of resources.
Do the Daily Jewellery Quest
Lidamorrutu in the Infinite Bazaar gives the quest “Make Haste, Not Waste”. This quest awards a random jewellery piece at your current best item level. It helps fill gaps in your gear when RNG hates you. Always do it daily because it’s free upgrades.
Drops Scale Based on Bag Item Level
This is such a huge big important factor at max level and it’s a system many people don’t notice right away. Your highest item level across in bags influences what drops you get in dungeons, raids, and research caches.
If you’ve got low-level gear cluttering your inventory, those drops will be weaker. Always maintain your highest pieces in your bag. Better gear = better future drops.
Raids Reset Daily So Farm Them
Raid bosses in Legion Remix reset daily. That means you can run the same raid each day on Normal, Heroic and Mythic difficulties.
- Mythic has stricter lockout refill rules, so coordinate your group.
- Daily resets let you repeatedly farm those bosses for gear, motes, and drops.
Don’t treat raids like one-off weekly events like in normal retail, use them daily.
Heroic World Tier Has Pros & Serious Risks
Heroic World Tier is optional, but it boosts rewards. However, tons of players on the forums already complained it gets brutal around level 68. It did for me too. Luckily on my first character, I was on Paladin and could just stomp through everything with self healing.
Huge health pools, high damage, occasional affix-like buffs and you’ll feel the difference. If your gear or build isn’t strong enough, HWT might slow you instead of helping. Use it when you feel confident and not just on a whim.
Gear Rarity & Scaling Basics
To understand how gear works in Legion Remix:
- Uncommon (green): caps at iLvl 571
- Rare (blue): caps at iLvl 578
- Epic (purple): baseline at 584, but can scale higher toward 740 via endgame sources
Epic gear drops are always about 5–6 levels above your current average (rounded up). That means even duplicates can push up your baseline, nothing is worthless.
You cannot upgrade gear manually. Every new drop must be better than what you have. So focus on constant progression.
Motes of a Broken Time: Your Catch-Up Mechanic
Once at level 80, you start getting Mote of a Broken Time. Combine 10 motes and you get a guaranteed epic gear piece that matches your current item level, up to a cap.
Sources include:
- Caches, quest rewards, treasure chests
- Empowered elites and rares in Heroic World Tier
- Dungeon bosses, raids, Mythic+ completions
This system exists so bad RNG doesn’t trap you. Even if you fail at drops, motes rescue your upgrades.
Jewellery & Artifact Talents
Jewellery in Legion Remix doesn’t give raw stats in the usual way you see in retail, instead it gives ranks to Artifact Weapon talents.
- Uncommon jewelry: +1 talent rank
- Rare jewelry: +2 ranks
- Epic jewelry: +3 ranks
These bonus ranks are meaningful. They apply even if the talent is outside your current path. Players including me have noticed that this lets builds mix branches with some synergy across paths.
And jewellery starts dropping at level 20 onward.
Infinite Research Is Your Best Friend
Start Infinite Research assignments immediately. They’re essentially daily tasks that reward permanent XP buffs, Bronze, and Infinite Power.
The buffs are account-wide, so your alts level faster automatically. Don’t sleep on these. Even casual runs make every future character easier to level.
